Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County
Our potential adopters fill out an adoption application and an adoption contract. They also must fill out their personal information for sending off the cat's microchip registration. An adoption counselor carefully guides the adopter through the process, making sure the adopting party is a good match for each kitty. We provide a health record document to the adopter with all health history information including spay/neuter date, combo test results, vaccination history, and any additional medications and treatments received by the cat.
Forgotten Felines is a non-profit, registered 501(c)3 organization serving Sonoma County since 1990. Our primary function is to provide low-cost spay/neuter clinics to assist the public with the management of feral or wild cats in Sonoma County. We offer instruction and equipment loans (subject to availability) to help people with the goal of reducing the feral cat population by a Trap-Neuter-Release program. Tame adults we find living in feral cat groups, as well as formerly feral kittens who have been tamed down by our volunteer foster parents, are put through our adoption program. We are always actively seeking volunteers to assist with fostering, trapping, and helping at our thrift store, Pick of the Litter.
Our basic adoption fee is $85.00.
