About

TVAR’s mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of homeless animals. TVAR cooperates with area shelters and rescue groups, primarily the East County Animal Shelter, to provide homeless animals with socialization, foster homes, medical care and an opportunity for a second chance.

Tri-Valley Animal Rescue, Inc. was founded in 1992 and is run solely by volunteers dedicated to placing homeless animals.

Through the commitment of our volunteers, TVAR works to ensure services such as:

-Fostering at-risk adoptable and/or treatable animals
-Providing routine and special-needs medical care
-Public education about spay/neuter and responsible pet ownership
-Adoption events to match our animals with suitable new owners.

We also provide volunteers to the East County Animal Shelter in Dublin. These volunteers socialize the animals and interface with the public to facilitate adoptions. Our shelter program includes a teen/junior component, allowing young people in our community the opportunity to help animals in need and learn about responsible pet ownership.

We are funded by contributions and donations from our community of supporters

Adoption Fees

The suggested adoption fee is:

-$150 Adult Dogs
-$200 Small Dogs & Puppies
-$75 Adult Cat
-$100 Kittens

The adoption fees offset expenses such as spaying or neutering, basic vaccinations, deworming, microchipping (cats & dogs), and other routine medical treatment.

Some animals require additional medical care prior to adoption. In such case, an additional donation to our medical "Cinderella Fund" is appreciated.

To adopt an animal from Tri-Valley Animal Rescue we ask the following:

-Adopter should be an adult (18 years of age or older). We require a government issued identification with proof of your current residence.
-All household members should approve the adoption of the pet.
-Verification of home ownership or if renting, a letter from the landlord showing permission of pets.
-Completion of adoption application and corresponding paperwork.
-Payment of our current adoption donation.
