Underdog Animal Rescue
Our mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable animals by providing for the rescue, spay/neuter, foster care, and adoption of homeless pets.
To adopt a dog, please complete an adoption application. Once completed, we will contact you to talk about the specific dog whom you have expressed interest in. When your application is approved, we will arrange for you and everyone else in the household to meet the dog (including any pets you may already have). Often, you can take you’re new dog home the same day, as long as a home visit is scheduled sometime during the following week. The first week will be considered a trail period to make sure that the adoption is a good fit for both the family and the dog.
Adoption fees vary depending on the dog’s needs and age. Dogs with special needs or behavior issues may have lower adoption fees. Puppies have higher adoption fees because they require more medical attention.
Puppy (1 year or younger) $300
Keeping the dogs as health as possible is very important to us. All our dogs are fixed, up to date on shots, and microchipped.
On top of medical costs for the dog, adoption fees help cover costs of dogs that may be harder to find homes for. Fees also help for unexpected medical costs such as dogs with special needs that we are able to take in and help, or a current foster dog that becomes ill. Other costs include providing the general necessities to foster homes such as puppy pads, leash/collar, food, and crates. These are all factors that go into assessing our overall fees. Our main goal is to find all our dogs loving homes and that we can continue to save more in need.
