Caddy, neutered male, 17 months old, 66 Lbs.
Meet Gentle Caddy.
When Caddy was about 2 months young, he was abandoned in a field. No one knew how long he’d been there until he finally lost energy from hunger, lying on a small path. He was very skinny and small. An old lady couldn’t bear to leave him dying, she took him home, nursed him well. Caddy stayed with the old lady for over a year. Under intensive care, he grew up nicely and healthy. Though Caddy didn’t worry about being hungry again, he didn’t get any chance to walk out but only stay in the cottage. He was very friendly but timid to meet any stranger at that time. When the old lady’s daughter came back home visiting, she found Caddy to be very mellow and friendly and so decided to take him back to the city fostering. Under foster mom’s intensive training and encouragement, Caddy became more and more confident day after day. To help Caddy being more socialized, he gets to walk out on busy street everyday and meet lots of people and dogs in a park often. And now, Caddy can stay calmly when a stranger comes toward him. He might dodge a little when a stranger tries to pet him, but never shows any aggression. By making friend with him for awhile, he actually enjoys nice pets and cuddles. If you stay long enough to play with him, he will remember you and take you as a friend to cuddle next time when he meets you again.
Caddy was born with a mellow nature. He is a very royal and gentle boy. After being with foster mommy for two weeks, he learned to trust people and started to follow her everywhere she goes. He is cautious to meet new dogs but always well behaves to make friends. He will join the gang to play when he is ready. Caddy chews sometimes if he gets bored. Slippers are his favorite. Therefore, if he doesn’t get enough exercise to walk out daily, he chews. Caddy is not a hyper or dominant type of dog, he is calm and quiet at home. He loves to stay with people. Before he adapts the new environment well, he might whine and howl a little with anxiety when left alone. But once he notices the family’s daily schedule, he adjusts well to wait for you to come home quietly. With Caddy’s size and age, he needs at least two times long daily walks, runs free outdoors often. He is now waiting for a family that is experienced with a shy dog and will love him as he is.
