DescriptionGerman Shepherd Dog
Special NeedsMason is a gorgeous 3-4 year old male German Shepherd. We were Mason's last hope before he was going to be PTS within 15 minutes last Saturday. He is very sick with kennel cough (dog cold) and a possible infection in his lungs. A volunteer rushed him to the vet for treatment. Mason is very clever and knows some commands. In the shelter shelter staff said he was cage reactive and not good with their staff but the volunteers have not seen any of this behavior. See video (link below). Poor Mason was also very sick and feeling crappy (imagine us with a severe flu). The shelter volunteers fell in love with him because he's a total love. Mason is good with other dogs. The volunteers spent a lot of time with Mason testing him with people and other dogs. He did GREAT! So we saved him and will watch his personality has he recovers from being so sick and cooped up in a cage. Mason gave the volunteer kisses to thank her for saving him. Mason will need very experienced adult-only foster home. More info. to come as we learn more about his personality. Donations are greatly needed and appreciated for his vet care and boarding.
