Umbrella of Hope 'Be Our Pet'

12 yr old, 12 lb Westie and Poodle Mix NEUTERED MALE for ADOPTION

Meet 007 (Double O Seven like James Bond). He is with a rescue group in the SF Bay Area of CA and can be adopted to anyone willing to travel to us to adopt.

007 is a 12 yr old, 15 lb Westie and Poodle Mix NEUTERED MALE who joins us from San Jose Animal Care Center via San Jose Animal Advocates where he was treated by Tails of a Shelter Vet

007 came to us looking like picture #3. He has now been groomed and had a dental cleaning and labwork. He is also microchipped, vaccinated and free of parasites. Like many senior dogs, he requires a lower protein food (most dog food made for senior pets is low protein by design). He is currently eating FirstMate Pet Foods Senior Variety which can be purchased OTC (no prescription required) at many pet supply stores and at Chewy.com

007 is a good boy who enjoys walks and attention. He is good on a leash and seems to be crate trained. He is housebroken but we always say to expect a learning curve for the first week or so in a new home. He is fine with other dogs and seems to be okay with cats. Children are fine.

As a non-shedding breed/mix he will require professional grooming every 6-8 weeks.

Adoptions to US Military Veterans are always free. Dogs aged 5+ can be adopted to people aged 55+ for $5. Application required and normal adoption criteria apply.

To adopt 007, please send a detailed email to beourpet@gmail.com.

To make a donation towards his care to allow us to save more dogs like him, please do so online at http://www.paypal.me/UOH

Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 5

Umbrella of Hope is a non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals off death row from local shelters. We offer rebates of adoption fees after completion of obedience classes and CGC titles.

Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet. Some of our senior animals have sponsorships for their food/vet care/medicine for the rest of their life at our vet in Pittsburg, CA (94565)

Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service.  Other retired public servants, please let us know what career you retired from and we can let you know if we offer any discounts for your adoption

Please send an email to the Umbrella Of Hope Animal Director with any inquiries at beourpet@gmail.com. Detailed emails will be answered first.

We thank Maddie's Fund for their sponsorship, Well Pet Vet Clinic for providing most of our veterinary services, Lovely Grooming for our grooming needs, and Delta Dog Camp for training. We thank Memoirs of a Dog and Share the Joy Photography for the beautiful portraits of many of our animals and a special thanks to volunteer photographers Barbara, Kristy, Christine and Natalie.  Please support these businesses for supporting rescue!
