Morado translates to "purple" in Spanish. She was found hungry and living in a bush near a vet office in Concord. Although her age is unknown, she is estimated to be in her 20s.

In her homes previous to her arrival to Mickaboo, Morado would hop to the door of the cage and converse in chirps and whistles. She would say "I love you" to the wife and fly to her on occasion. In the end, Morado was found in a foreclosed house by a realtor and surrendered to Mickaboo. Morado has been in her new foster home for about 2 months. She has taken to the husband in this home. However, she is also warming up to the wife. She will beg for food by yelling. Other than that, she is pretty quiet throughout the day. She will quietly chirp and whistle.

Morado knows how to say "Hi" and "Hello." She makes a few animal sounds, including horse and cat. She also thinks most people are pretty sexy and loudly and clearly wolf whistles at them. She prefers to stay in her cage moving around to different perches. She sometimes has an interest in toys. Morado is a fantastic eater, and she thinks it`s important to sit down together and eat as a family. Morado is on a pellet diet, supplemented with fresh fruits and vegetables. She will eat most cooked vegetables, including carrots, green beans, corn, and peas. She will also eat some raw kale, apples, oranges, blueberries, celery, and grapes. She will try most new foods presented.

She has started working on clicker training to touch a target, and she has improved with that to traveling a few feet to touch. Morado enjoys baths. She is a gorgeous girl with beautiful purple on her head, and she doesn`t pluck her feathers. She doesn`t really allow her foster parents to handle her yet. However, they think with time, patience, and clicker training, she will probably step up. It was thought that she could not fly due to a previous wing injury, however, she has flown across the room a couple of times.
