Hi there! My name is Zoey and I’m a girl who purrs like crazy while being brushed or petted. I’m also super smart and I know how to get my treats out of a food puzzle – my foster Mom says I have “the fastest paw in the West!” My foster Mom and I have a little ritual where I sit next to her on the couch and her hands are in her lap, holding the treats in a light fist; I tap her hand with my left front paw (I always use my left paw) and then she releases a treat to me. Pretty fun, huh? And while I enjoy attention, I’m not needy - I enjoy it when my foster Mom is around, and I’m content to take a nap in my kitty bed when she’s not. I had a rough couple of years before I came to Maine Coon Adoptions (MCA)– well, ok, really rough – and I came to MCA pretty nervous and fearful. But I’ve learned how kind and loving humans can be these last few months and my foster Mom thinks that it will take me just a little while to learn to trust my new family. And look at the joy I have in my life now! https://youtu.be/3SgXmIB62-Y I was born in February 2011, I am spayed, tested negative, up to date with my vaccines, and microchipped. I might be ok with a gentle kitty companion or I could be a single kitty, I might be ok with dogs, and I might be ok with cat-savvy teens.
I am living in a private foster home, so please fill out an adoption application at www.mainecoonadoptions.com.
