This big boy is just as sweet as can be—meet Bingo! He's a staff and volunteer favorite—the longer we know him, the more reasons we find to love him. Bingo has been at the shelter a while, and in that time he’s learned to walk nicely on a leash and harness, has had good play sessions with like-sized female dogs, and has even played doting uncle to a group of young puppies. Cheerful and good-natured to the core, Bingo is a joy to be around. He connects well with his handler and is an eager learner who responds very well to positive-reinforcement training. He’s already got a few nice behaviors on cue, so ask to meet Bingo so he can show them off for you. Weekly training classes with BADRAP.org are included for FREE with Bingo's adoption.
Bingo’s Adoption Fee ($125) has been paid for by a generous member of his fan club, so if you adopt Bingo, the fee will be waived!!**
The staff and volunteers of Berkeley Animal Care Services think that Bingo has a personality of Lap Squasher.

60/6/60 Adoption Program
Partnering Senior Animals with Senior Friends -- If you are 60 or older and adopt an animal who is 6 or older, you'll get 60% off the adoption fee!
Adoption Criteria (Non Bully Breeds):
In order to qualify as an adopter, you must bring proof of home ownership or your rental contract showing you are allowed to have pets before the adoption can be completed. If you're coming to adopt a new family or household pet, please bring your family members or other members of the household with you to the shelter -- including any other dogs in the family. We want to make sure your new dog is a good fit for both 2-leggers and 4-leggers alike.
Once the adoption papers have been completed, your new cat or dog will be transported to a vet by the Animal Shelter. You can pick up your new pet at the veterinarian. The cost for this procedure is included in the adoption price.
All cats and dogs adopted from the shelter will be neutered or spayed before going home as your new pet.
For information about low-cost veterinary clinics and our Low Cost Spay & Neuter Voucher Program program, please call the shelter at (510) 981-6600.
