NorCal Poodle Rescue
5 years old Female 10 lbs Apricot
I am called Princess because I have such soft hair and am pretty, dainty and sweet, light as a feather and small enough to fit under an airline seat.
I had not heard of house training before the past few weeks, so I am not. But I am learning to walk well on a leash (I never pull) and am curious about everything so my fosters know I am smart. I need a patient person to help me learn where you would like me to potty. After all, I was like Mary, Queen of Scots, but rather than locked in a tower, I spent my life in one small yard so it is a brand new wonderful world and I am learning the customs as fast as I can.
I like other dogs, but prefer not to share you. I can get a little jealous and want you to myself, especially while we sleep, so I would like to be your one and only. The upside is that I love to be held and cuddled as much as you would like.
Though crate trained, I prefer to sit in your lap. I will need soft food for now since I just had five teeth removed.
Do you like people watching? Me too! And children on the playground are fascinating. I even let them pet me. It's grand!

Adoption Fee Details
NorCal Poodle Rescue is an Adoption Guarantee Organization: we rehabilitate and re-home all healthy and treatable animals in our care. NCPR honors the definitions of healthy and treatable as described by the Asilomar Accords. We publish our shelter/rescue statistics annually.
Our average Adoption Fee is $300, but the range is $100 to $500 depending on the age and the type of Poodle being adopted. Some Standard Poodles have had a special surgical procedure to prevent gastric torsion. If so, the surgery fee of $650 is added to the adoption fee for that dog.
Adoption Process: All available Poodles are posted on NorCal Pet Adoptions or NorCal Poodle Rescue websites. Step 1: submit an Adoption Interest Form. Step 2: a volunteer will call you. Adoptions are by appointment most days of the week, or on the third Sunday of the month at Pet Food Express, 1388 S. California Blvd., Walnut Creek, 12 noon to 3pm.
Phone: (925) 322-0223 (message only). If you are inquiring about adoption or a particular dog, please submit an Adoption Interest Form from the website.
