Domestic Short Hair

Special Needs

Mowgli's family moved in July, and sadly left Mowgli behind.  Now Mowgli is looking for a new permanent home, with a family who will give her the love and attention she deserves!

Mowgli is a black shorthair with brindling visible in strong light.  About two years old, she is indoor-outdoor, very affectionate, and athletic.
Mowgli will learn people's routines and come and greet (particularly if there are rubs and treats involved).  She picks up on things quickly and may be trainable for tricks and such. She is athletic as well as smart, meaning she will open partially secured doors and cabinets, and believes all surfaces are for cats. While not a lap cat, she does enjoy a good rub down and will rub against everything.  It doesn't take much to get her purring, and she does seem to like a bit of chest and under mouth scratches, but beware of the hand trap.
Despite her social nature, she does seem to gravitate to slower and quieter locales.  She does avoid the children in the apartment complex, but she will let children lift her by the front end with no complaints from her, just later avoidance. Her previous family had a two year old.
Residents of the apartment complex where Mowgli was abandoned have been caring for her, but Mowgli deserves a permanent home.
