Special Needs

Sweet as Christmas candy cane, Sugar is a 4-year-old, 5-pound Chihuahua mix that is currently in foster care after coming to AFRP from the Monterey County Shelter. Very shy at first, Sugar is gradually gaining confidence and becoming more relaxed. She jumps and wiggles when she is happy, and hardly ever barks. Sugar walks nicely on the leash, enjoys riding in the car, and gets along fine with other polite dogs and cats. She sleeps all night without a peep, and is doing well with her house training skills. This little lady is a dainty eater, loves napping in the sunshine and snuggling on laps. A quiet, adult home would be the most comfortable match.
