Special Needs

Henry came to us from Central California because his owner became very ill and unable to care or him.  She took great care of him while she could and he is a sweetheart.  Hard to imagine a big lug like him is afraid of large dogs but thanks to his foster mom Sabrina he has found larger dogs aren't so scary.  Henry is still unsure why he is not longer at his home but bonds fast and has adjusted to his new fosterhome very well.

Here is a great update on day 4 of his new foster home.

Henry is doing well.  I am not keeping him separated from my guys anymore they seem to be hanging out OK I keep them in a small area where I can keep an eye on all of them just in case.  I do not leave them alone.  This has made it much easier for me to putter around the house and get things done that I need to do, they all kind of follow me around.

He likes to hang out in the crate which I leave open or on his bed which you can see him laying on his bed in the picture.
He is very sweet you can tell he misses his person but has attached pretty quickly to me.  I think he is definitely a people dog not so much the other animal dog.  I think he would be OK after a period of adjustment with other animals but really bonds with people.  As I said he's doing OK with them he was very nervous around them the nervousness is going away but they're not buddies they don't play.  He wants to play at times and you can see he gets excited but he mainly wants me to play with his toys.  He has lots of toys they seem to entertain him but I have to keep them picked up with my little dog around because she wants them, he might be fine with that just don't want to test that right now.  He has not been aggressive at all with me or my dogs, he is a love and I think a big baby.
I think he would do well with Active people or even people that want to hang out he's totally chill in the house.  He does good in his crate sleeps all night no problem in the house he lets me know if he Has to go out.
I sent the pictures hoping that will help with your post I do think it would be good for him to find his forever people so he can thrive a little bit more than here with me and my guys.  But he is safe and secure here for now.
IF you would like to meet Henry please email me below to confirm he is coming to meet the public.
