Special Needs

Small but mighty! Spike is a 1-year-old, 12-pound black Chihuahua mix with a happy and friendly personality. Bright, energetic and eager to learn, Spike is motivated by doggie treats and by the thought of pleasing you! He gets along fine with other dogs and  could snuggle on your lap for hours. Spike enjoys going for walks and likes to experience new things. He came to AFRP from the Monterey County Shelter and he's eager for his forever family, best with kids over age 8. He's a great match for an adopter that can continue his training and give him lots of love and attention
