Cooper Molera, or our Mini Cooper, came to us as an extremely shy dog. He bonded with the dogs right away in his foster home but had trouble trusting humans. He's come a long way but still needs a patient adopter willing to help him gain more confidence with people.
Cooper will do best in a home with a confident dog that he can model after. He'd be a great playmate for another dog that likes to play. He is a shy dog that needs repeated positive encounters to build confidence. Patient humans and appropriate dogs create a comfortable environment for Cooper.
Cooper is very affectionate once he knows you. He loves to give kisses, rolls over on his back for tummy rubs and will cuddle up next to you. He is a well-mannered dog, being great in the home and out. He is crate trained and has a moderate energy level. He has the ability to be a fantastic companion.
Cooper needs a quiet home without kids, though gentle, older kids will be fine. A secure home is a must, as Cooper is a flight risk, especially in transition.
Cooper came to us when his guardian could no longer care for him. He is goofy and fun. He loves to play with toys and his personality will shine once he is acquainted.
If you think you're the right home for this cutie, then we are excited to receive your interest. We anticipate receiving dozens of applications for Cooper. We will give priority to people who have had experience rehabilitating fearful, shy dogs, and to people who have another playful dog who can help Cooper blossom. Please be patient while we review and explore all the applications.
